Romania's OMV Petrom Expands Reach: Begins Gasoline Shipments to Ukraine by Road

One of Ukraine's biggest fuel providers, OMV Petrom, has begun delivering gasoline to the country via roads instead of using railways as they did previously. Economica.net announced, quoting Ukraine's Enkor.

The stated capacity of the new facility is 5,000 tons per month, and the terminal’s equipment meets the most recent standards.

OMV Petrom stands as the second-largest provider of gasoline to Ukraine. As stated by Enkorr citing data from the A-95 Consulting Group, the firm delivered approximately 283,000 tons of gasoline into the country, representing around 23% of all imported fuel. Major purchasers include OKKO, WOG, and Amic Energy.

Up until recently, the firm's fuel was transported directly from the production facility in Ploiești into rail tank cars, thereby restricting the potential customer base.
